Trump Endorses Schimel for Court Seat
President Donald Trump reaffirmed his endorsement of Brad Schimel, a Waukesha County circuit court judge, in the race for a seat on the Wisconsin Supreme Court. The endorsement was made public on Sunday via a post on Trump’s Truth Social account, where he underscored the significance of the election for both Wisconsin and the country as a whole.
"In the Great State of Wisconsin, a Radical Left Democrat, one who is insistent on bringing hardened CRIMINALS, that we removed to far away places, back into our Country, allowing men into women's sports, Open Borders, and more, is running against a strong, Common Sense Republican, JUST CALL HIM BRAD, for the Wisconsin Supreme Court," Trump wrote.
Trump described the upcoming vote as “a really big and important race” and stated that it could influence “the future of our Country.” His post positioned Schimel as a sensible and reliable choice, contrasting him with his opponent, Susan Crawford. Trump characterized Crawford as a radical candidate and previously called her “the handpicked voice of the Leftists who are out to destroy your State, and our Country.”
Trump’s comments highlight his ongoing engagement in state-level judicial contests, where he seeks to mobilize conservative voters and shape key courts in pivotal states. The Wisconsin Supreme Court has considerable influence on decisions involving voting laws, redistricting, and other politically sensitive issues.
As the race continues to draw national attention, Trump’s vocal support for Schimel may serve to energize Republican turnout and solidify the court’s future ideological direction. Both candidates are expected to intensify campaign efforts in the coming weeks as the election approaches.
