Zelensky Urges Tougher US Stance on Russia
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has called for stronger action from the United States against Russia following recent comments made by US President Donald Trump. In an interview with Ben Shapiro released Thursday, Zelensky emphasized the need for a more decisive American approach.
"I understand what Trump is doing," Zelensky said, acknowledging the strategy but criticizing the administration for suggesting that Ukraine initiated the conflict. "We would like to see a force directed toward Russia," he added, calling for a clear and strong stance.
Zelensky also expressed disappointment over the Oval Office meeting held in late February, stating that it "didn't help Ukraine, not the US." He urged Washington to maintain tough sanctions and leverage its international influence to pressure Moscow into reaching a peace agreement.
The Ukrainian leader’s remarks underscore Kyiv’s growing frustration and the urgent need for stronger international backing to end the ongoing conflict with Russia.
