White House: Trump Not Considering Third Term

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt clarified on Friday that United States President Donald Trump is not considering a third term, addressing speculation fueled by the recent release of a "TRUMP 2028" cap. Speaking at a communicators lunch, Leavitt emphasized that seeking a third term would violate the US Constitution and that Trump is not pursuing that path.

Leavitt noted that Trump often seeks counsel from her and other staff members and does take their input into account, although the extent to which he implements advice "depends on which time." She reassured attendees that the "TRUMP 2028" cap is simply a piece of merchandise and not an indication of future plans.

Speculation about Trump seeking an additional term intensified when he previously mentioned that there might be "methods" to bypass constitutional restrictions. However, the White House has now reaffirmed that there are no intentions to pursue a third term, underscoring the administration's commitment to constitutional norms.

Trump’s store launched the “TRUMP 2028” merchandise amid growing political chatter, but Leavitt's comments aim to put an end to rumors about extending Trump's presidency beyond allowable limits.
