US, Ukraine Discuss Minerals Deal
The United States and Ukraine held constructive talks on April 11 regarding a potential agreement on strategic minerals. A senior official familiar with the meeting confirmed that the discussion proceeded smoothly, with no reported issues. “The meeting was normal, no problems, everyone says that they talked constructively,” the official stated.
Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration and Minister of Justice Olha Stefanishyna previously revealed that Ukraine had submitted its proposal on the minerals matter. She emphasized that the dialogue would continue until both sides reached a mutually satisfactory agreement.
The engagement reflects an ongoing effort to strengthen strategic cooperation between Washington and Kiev in sectors critical to energy security and economic resilience. As the talks progress, both governments appear committed to advancing discussions in pursuit of a comprehensive minerals partnership.
