Trump Won’t Fire Over Signal Leak

United States President Donald Trump announced in an NBC News interview that he would not dismiss any officials connected to the recent Signal chat incident, in which a journalist was inadvertently added to a group chat discussing potential military action against Yemen’s Houthi rebels.

Trump dismissed the controversy, saying, “I don't fire people because of fake news and because of witch hunts.” He went on to state, “I have no idea what Signal is and I don’t care what Signal is.”

The president characterized the incident as a media distraction, claiming, “It was just a witch hunt, and it’s the only thing that press wants to talk about, because you have nothing else to talk about.”

Trump also used the moment to defend his administration’s track record, saying, “This has been the greatest 100-day presidency in the history of the United States.”

The Signal leak incident sparked attention after confidential discussions about a strike on Yemen’s Houthi forces were exposed due to a journalist’s unexpected access. Despite the security concerns raised, Trump dismissed the calls for accountability as driven by media agendas rather than facts.

By refusing to take disciplinary action, Trump reaffirmed his position against what he views as politically motivated attacks and reiterated his confidence in his administration’s decisions and performance during his presidency.
