Trump Warns Iran: Stop Supplying Houthis, Face Consequences

US President Donald Trump has issued a stern warning to Iran, demanding an immediate halt to military supplies for Yemen’s Houthi rebels. In a post on Truth Social, Trump emphasized that although Iran had reduced its support, it was still providing substantial assistance. He declared, "Iran must stop the sending of these Supplies IMMEDIATELY," insisting that the Houthis should fight independently, predicting a swift defeat for the rebel group.

Trump further cautioned that any future Houthi attacks would be considered direct aggression by Iran. "Every shot fired by the Houthis will be looked upon as a shot fired from the weapons and leadership of IRAN," he stated, vowing severe consequences for Tehran’s involvement. The warning follows recent escalations in the region, with concerns over increasing military confrontations.

In addition to his stance on Yemen, Trump has reportedly given Iran a two-month ultimatum to negotiate a new nuclear deal. According to Axios, Trump sent a letter to Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in March, setting the deadline. It remains unclear whether the two-month period began upon the letter’s delivery or the start of negotiations.

Sources suggest that if Tehran refuses to engage in discussions, the risk of US or Israeli military action against Iranian nuclear facilities will significantly rise. The letter was sent as tensions continued to grow over Iran’s nuclear program and its involvement with the Houthis, adding another layer of geopolitical uncertainty.

Iran has yet to publicly respond to Trump's demands. As the deadline approaches, the world watches closely to see whether Tehran will negotiate or if conflict looms on the horizon.
