China has reportedly withdrawn certain retaliatory tariffs on semiconductors produced in the United States, according to information from three import agencies based in Shenzhen. These agencies indicated they were notified of the exemptions late Thursday. However, there has been no official announcement confirming the decision.

When approached for comment, China's General Administration of Customs as well as the customs offices in Shenzhen and Zongshan stated that they were unaware of any such tariff removals. The situation remains fluid as no formal communication has been issued through official channels.
